EMILY COTTRELL

Costume Maker and Designer

About Me
I am a recent BA Costume design and construction graduate from Nottingham Trent University.
I have a particular interest in historical costume and embroidery. I enjoy the therapeutic process of embroidery and love they way it can add personality and texture to a character’s design.
I value sustainable practice, whether that involves repurposing fabric, sourcing second hand, or piecing patterns to reduce waste. This is something I want to help change in the industry and continue to be conscious of in my career.
I am always excited to meet and learn from new people.
I am also looking for opportunities of work and the ability to expand my knowledge and practical skills.
