Basic Millinary

Grey military style hat:

To make this hat I learnt about using cardboard to give the hat structure as well as certain stitches to such as the whip stitch to hold pieces together. I also learnt how to create a pattern for the lining.

Flat pattern cap:

Whilst make this purple cap I learnt how to follow an existing pattern and about how the material can impact the shape and structure of the hat. If I could do this again I would choose a heavier weight cotton so that it would be able to hold its shape better.

Tiara:

While making this tiara I used millinery wire there are two options for this wire an hard and soft version which are different in there malleability. The end of both wires will need to be sealed with glue at every cut to prevent fraying. I also learnt different techniques to join the wire such as using cotton to bind them together.
